This is the simple excel spreadsheet that I use to track my income, spending, and any other tax related information. (It can also be put into Google Sheets.) It contains a tab for the year as a whole, as well as a tab for each month that auto-calculates the totals and inputs them into the year at a glance tab. I also added two specific pages that have helped me immensely: a tab for tracking book-related income, and a tab for tracking my broader income categories. Each of these tabs also auto-populate to show you a year at a glance, which can be extremely valuable for seeing what is doing well in your business and what needs some elbow grease.
